And now announcing… AFC Fisher

A new club has been formed, as of Thursday.  Everything is called AFC Fisher, though it could yet be Fisher Bermondsey FC.  In some respects it’s as you were – Martin as chairman, Barry Albin as president, Les on the committee – but there’s a belief that the club is owned by its members and in particular the committee members.

Anyway twitter feeds at twitter.com/afcfisher, website at afcfisher.weebly.com and everything else should point to the new name soon.  As this blog is a personal view, I’ll keep the name of fisherdockside for now…

Who has the stadium?

Stadplex had it, but they’ve folded.  Fisher have folded too.  Ulster Bank were the last mortgagees, but not sure if they have it.  The SDS can’t be disposed of until the Council are told.

There is a lease on the ground for 25 years from 1998 – which takes us to 2023.   More follows…
